hey y 'all! sorry its been awhile! I'm not a hard-core natural "blogger" like a normal teen girl XD! This story is about my first time ever calling 911, which was a couple weeks ago. i'll try to keep it short, but I'll give some back stories. This story is written through my outlook of the night .

Notes:

* Awaken is a youth/adult bible group study thing on Saturdays

* The "Point" is a top of a hill that overlooks the city of Minot ND, which its also known for drug swapping, and other creepy things.

________________________________________________________________________

It was a normal Saturday night. After Awaken* we went to Applebees like we always do. Our group for the night was Allie, Rachel, Jay, Jason, Josiah, Ben, me and a guy named Travis, which none of us knew quiet well. Over the meal we discussed going to see the Northern Lights after eating. We all agreed to meet at the obvious place, the Point*. Which sounded like a good plan at the time. We all split up into three different vehicles.

In a white Camry, Jay and Rachel reached the Point first. The others (including myself), in the other two vehicles had to do "errands" before reaching the Point to see the lights.

From the car that I was seated in, Jason gets a panicking call. Allie and I try to makeup what the conversation is about. We listen as Jason's voice gets more terrified. Finally the conversation is done and Jason tells us what happened. Apparently Jay & Rachel pulled up to the Point and patiently waited. as they sit there a truck pulls up behind them with bright LED lights and a bar rack with lights on top. (this truck looks like a druggy car). The truck has one headlight out and keeps flashing Jays car. Knowing that the point is known for drug deals, Jay & Rachel think that this person might think that they have there drugs. They panic and quickly drive away, but to there terror they see the truck quickly follow them. Speeding down Broadway with the truck on his tail. Jay makes an illegal U-turn. The truck also flips the U-turn.

They finally lose the truck. following a cop just to make sure. That's when Jay called Jason. We all agree on a new meeting place, Polaris Park. A little ways from the Point. Jason calls Josiah, ( in the 3rd vehicle) and tells him what happened to Jay and the new meeting place.

On the way up to Polaris Park, we keep in eye out for a truck with one headlight out. At this time its already almost midnight. We reach Polaris Park with no sight of any of our friends. We park right next to the park keeping a look out...we were kind of shook from what happened to Jay. Behind us we see Jays white Camry turn down the street we were on. We know its Jay and Rachel so we expect them to pull up behind us, but instead they drive straight passed allies car.

Confused, Jason calls Jay. Jay explains that they were just making sure it was us. We see Jays Camry pull back around and pull straight up in front of us. jay left his car on and jumped in our car, with Rachel to follow. We sat in Allies Honda talking about the frightening experience. note that Jays car is still running and his lights were blinding us as we talked. Allie glances in the review mirror. She looked calm but you could hear the panic in her voice.

Allie: "not to freak you guys out or anything, but a truck with one headlight out just turned down the street."

The car turned to chaos in a matter of seconds. I peer over my shoulder to see the truck. One headlight out. A bright LED bar light on the top. I was shocked at how much it resembles Jays "story truck". My heart drops at the sight of it (it is a freaky looking car). Jay looks back and to our fear he yells "THATS IT! THATS THE GUY! GO GO GO!!!" We all start yelling and panicking and freaking out. The truck slowly starts creeping up behind us, almost locking us in between Jays car and his own. Allie throws the car in reverse, almost hitting the truck. Allie throws It in drive and squeezes through the gap. As we pass Jays RUNNING car, Jay yells at Allie "STOP! let me out! I need my car! they could steal my car!!!" Jay reaches for the handle but allie speeds up and starts yelling "YOUR LIFE IS MORE IMPORTANT THEN A CAR! THEY COULD HAVE A GUN!" Allie speed around the corner and parks. We still have a good view of the truck and Jays car.

The truck sits there. We sit there watching in agony. Jays car sits there ready to be taken. How did they find us? Why are they sitting there? Someone yells "CALL 911!!" so....I pick up Allies phone and dial those numbers. 9-1-1. Knowing that I wouldn't be able to talk to the Dispatcher I throw the phone to Jason, because he is more calm talking. "911 what's your emergency?" and after that Jason tells a more shorter story of what I just told you. "My friend got followed by a truck with one headlight out to Polaris Park etc....We were just trying to see the Northern Lights...etc." As Jason tries to explain details of the truck we notice someone jump out of the passenger side. Expecting the person to get into Jays car and take off. To our surprise the person(male) runs right past it. Confused we all stare as the runner gets closer to our vehicle.

Allie: "Is that Josiah?"

All of were shocked as the "mysterious runner" became more clear. It was Josiah.

As he reaches my passenger window I roll it down. All of us yelling and questioning Josiah. Who's vehicle is that? Why didn't he tell us it was them when Jason called? Josiah kept apologizing over and over, as we kept hounding him with questions. Meanwhile Jason explains to the dispatcher it was our friends the whole time. She tells Jason that it was ok, it happens all the time and its better to be safe then sorry.

We drive over to the truck to find Ben and Travis still in the vehicle. Travis gets out and informs us its his vehicle. We yell a little more and hug a lot, then talk about how Josiah was just trying to "Play a joke". After taking a breather we all calm down.

We get back in our car and follow Jay and Rachel to a dirt road up on North Hill to try to still see the lights, even though none of us were feeling that great. The 3rd vehicle of people decided to go home after all the commotion.

We park and get out. Too cloudy. All of this time it was too cloudy to even see the lights. Bummed out that the night couldn't end well, Allie and I hopped in Jays Camry to talk with Rachel, leaving Jay and Jason outside. All three of us girls were shaking still. We comfort each other and talk about it more...because that's what girls do, we talk.

The whole night for nothing. we didn't even get to see the lights, but I mean...at least we didn't die. Well It sure was a night I will never forget.

Hey! So I know its been awhile...sorry. I recently went up to Canada to a reservation to do a VBS for kids. For a week. Our team was great and we had lots of fun! It was a great experience but very heart breaking. Seeing all the kids and how they live is terrible! A lot of the kids are left to fend for themselves everyday and don't feel the love from the parents that they should. The houses are so rundown and the roads are a disaster. These children need so much love from anybody so that why we share the love of Jesus because He can fulfill that need. At some point we would get pretty angry at these kids because they got so bad but in the end you just have to keep telling yourself that you don't live the life they live. They seek attention, either by jumping on the van bumper, pelting rocks at our heads, or even just wanting a hug. They just want more love.

Proverbs 22:6 ESV

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Matthew 19:14 ESV

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

Coming back to America and seeing how we live compared to the their living is astonishing, and actually quite depressing. It takes a couple days to debrief from all of it. You think of them constantly and you just want to go back! As we wait for the next time to see them, all we can do is just pray that these kid's and parent's eyes will be opened!

Okay!!! There is my mission trip "ranting"   :) Also I wish I had pictures to share! sorrryyy

So. A couple years ago I was struggling with insecurities, like feeling fat, and ugly and feeling like I wasn't good enough. At the time I had this brace for my back that was plastic, because I have scoliosis (When your spine is a tad bit cricked XD). I felt everywhere I went people were staring, talking, and laughing at me behind my back. It scared me so bad I never wanted to leave the house. Then I injured my knee which meant I had to sit around a lot and do nothing, which really made me feel like I was getting FAT (So dumb)! After my leg healed I did some diets and exercised which made my fat problem die down!

After this time I slowly felt God tell me something. I met some people who didn't care what people thought of them and it really showed me what God was trying to tell me. He was trying to tell me that not loving yourself is like not loving Him. When I got this revelation from Him, it showed me not only to love myself, but also to see other people knowing they have problems just like me. Loving yourself not in a prideful or selfish way but loving yourself for who you are through Him. For who HE created you too be. Don't compare yourself to other people, just be confident. He loves you for who you are and not what you pretend to be! Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us
